For the fingerboard gunk, I simply use hot water & a soft cloth.

Also:

If you wipe down your fretboard with a dry soft cloth every time after playing, keep your hands clean & dry, and you change strings often, there really shouldn't be any substantial gunk build-up on your frets at all.

An ounce of prevention, etc!

I'm sure Endust or Pledge would work fine on the body - however my concern is the gunk that builds up on the fretboard. Everytime I change my strings, I just end up using a tad bit of water and using the elbow grease to keep the gunk off of it.

Thought someone in the tribe may have the same issues.

Pledge furniture polish works just fine.

Save your money - guitar polish is a rip-off IMO.

Wondering who has the best polish for guitars... Obviously looking for one that leaves no residue and will get some of the finger gunk off of the neck when I change strings.

Any advice appreciated!
