What I discovered was on Wikipedia...there's some information about him that suggests he legit...I looked in other places for legitimizing Esteban too...you'll find them for yourselves. I believe the original question is whether he is crediable...I think or believe he is and when you do a little research yourself you'll have your own conclusions...He's for real people. Oh! I forgot to tell you a friend of mine has his commercialized package and plays real sweet....Esteban's QVC Packaged offed is a good buy. CD's, Video, Acoustic Guitar, Amplifier...etc...are more than enough to teach how to play an Acoustic Guitar. I'm looking for a website / how to check the offer or is it a current offer and when can I get it. Sooooooooo if anyone has a light to show the way and help me find how to purchase Esteban's program please feel free to e-mail me at markkbaker@yahoo.com...I

Esteban is a real guitarist and his guitar package is a real rip-off. Look, if you want to learn how to play guitar and are on a budget, go buy an acoustic at Costco for $100 or at a garage sale for $50 and download the guitar-pro freeware and some lessons for free.

My son has never taken an interest in guitar until about three months ago. I gave him one of my electrics several years ago and he never really got beyond the "Hey look! I can pound out the intro to Smoke on the Water"-stage. Now, over the course of the last three months, he has most of his chord forms down, can play passable AC/DC, is starting to tackle Megadeth, and is beginning to understand modes and scales. My point is that you don't need some pre-packaged bullshit, all you need is a desire to learn, a guitar, and an internet connection.

Huh uhh. You can't learn guitar unless you buy Estaban's "Learn How to Play Like Me" CD and his patented professional league guitar made form Medical Waste.

I still have yet to be able to verify the whole Holdsworth Medical Waste thing.

But I've heard Esteban's records have sold MILLIONS in Europe ;)

          So too David Hasselhoff.

          Turbo mode Kit.

There are times that I see Europeans ( for all their much vaunted snobby self assured sophistication) as little more than a rabble of inferior primitives all trying desperately to do what the other guy is doing .

a friend of mine has an estebon guitar. it sounds good and is easy to play. but if you play more than three chords and try any lead at all, its crap. i think you'd be better off looking around at some pawn shops for a beginer guitar.

A good guitar is like a good woman it responds when it is touched in the right places. My son has developed into a very fine guitarist who writes all of his own stuff. He has invented about 20 new tunings. He started with drop D and found many more very interesting combinations of open tunings. His finger picking is very good. I am an old 70s left over. Lesie west, Paige influnces. Beck and Ronnie Montrose. I used to be a Les paul and marshall guy now its a Peavy Wolfgang EVH through a Peavy Transtube with 4 12" Shefields. I also have an American made Kramer strat like single pickup. My best acoustic is an old Epiphone and I have a wonderfull 30th anniversary Ovation. Im selling Ovation as it is too nice to play. I am afraid Ill scratch it. I know thats dumb. Free

I got myself an "SX" brand guitar about 5 years ago which I love. I had never heard of the brand but realized I had to be pretty picky since they were cheap. I went around the store and played about 10 of them, most of which sounded crap, then just happened to find one I liked. Sometimes all you lose with a cheap instrument is the consistency of the manufacturing. Sometimes they are all really just crap.

those are the only type of posts that I ever see here anymore.

wtf? I thought this was a tribe for talking about all things acoustic guitar...not all things Esteban.

                  I mean c'mon folks.
