Re: What Electric Songs Do You Think Might Work Better Acoustically?
Wed, December 12, 2007 - 9:32 PMMy buddy Danny Dolinger has done The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" before at a house concert and a festival. It was well received. I like Johnny Cash's Acoustic Version of "Hurt" too. But Neil Young's "Down By The River" would be great if you could pull it off .

Thu, December 13, 2007 - 2:26 PMI've had pretty good luck with "Behind Blue Eyes". Although I don't know why, I sing it like crap, must be the power chords in the chorus. lol -

Fri, December 14, 2007 - 1:26 PMI dig singing/singing "Behind Blue Eyes" as well
It's a very cathartic song to perform. Especially (like many rock songs) when I'm uber-pissed-off about some shit. -

Re: What Electric Songs Do You Think Might Work Better Acoustically?
Sat, December 15, 2007 - 5:27 AMI can fake Pride and Joy somewhat, but not the other two. My friend does a knock out version of Pride and Joy on his 12 string.
I used to do Whipping Post on acoustic. -

Re: What Electric Songs Do You Think Might Work Better Acoustically?
Thu, January 3, 2008 - 6:50 PMWarren Haynes (of Gov't Mule & Allman Bros. fame) released an album of his mostly-unplanned Acoustic set he played @ Bonnaroo one year.
Included were "Lucky" by Radiohead, "One" by U2, and others. I think "One" is a little over-played, but I've played "Lucky" and the Radiohead fanatics (like me) always dig it!
