Oh sugar britches that wasn't a typo that was the result of a bad habit.

It's one thing to take poetic license with lyrics and quite another to manifest incredibly poor language skills in life.

It is rather sorrowful that one would think that speaking the language with some reasonable skill and accomplishment should only be reserved for "job applications."

At any rate, I am not pissed off at anything. It's merely that I have some peeves about the language and how ignorance and idiocy have conspired to destroy whole swaths of the American English linguistic tradition.

It wouldn't hurt you as a singer songwriter to have some modicum of command of the language and the capacity to express yourself in a manner that reflects the same without first having to think about it.

And of course there is no reason for you to feel all put upon when your language skills are commented upon. Instead it is an opportunity for you to self improve, becoming better and larger than you were before.

Or is your self image such that a small correction shatters you and causes you to call names and flail about in rage?
