Hey all...I've started a new tribe called Guitar Tablature. It's a tribe for those of us that either can't read transcription or are (like me) more attracted to tab because it's just so much easier than reading transcription. It's also a great place to swap tab or look for a specific song. If you're new to tab or looking to expand your guitar-pro 5.2 or other transcription software skillz, you are more than welcome to join as well. Feel free to jump in at tribes.tribe.net/guitartablature

Re: New Guitar Tablature Tribe
Sun, September 30, 2007 - 6:18 PMHowdy Pi,
Good to hear that you started the new Tab tribe!
While I have been a classical player for 36 years,
and quite comfortasble with standard notation,
I have had to begin writing things down in Tablature
for convenience' sake. I have been really enjoying playing
the Godin Glissentar - that eleven string fretless 'guitar-like'
instrument. I have it tuned various ways, I think right now either
in some Oud tuning or in DADGAD, so have begun writing tunes on
this instrument in tab to make it easier! I still have had to go back and
write a second score with the actual notes for the flute player to read her part,
but Tab saved the day. Yes, we use tab in Finale notation software, too...
Thanks, PI -

Mon, October 15, 2007 - 8:46 PMHey Kenyon, how many fingers do you have on your left hand?
No offense, just joking with you, sounds like a lot of fun. I used to have a sitar which I loved jamming on, wish I hadn't sold it now:(
